Twenty-plus years in the 'hood- that life experience, rebuilding an historic urban congregation in the midst of drug dealers, poverty, gunshots and the rebirth of a neighborhood make Roland Wells an entertaining and riveting conference speaker. He has spent a lifetime re-visioning and rebuilding ministries. St. Paul's Church's inspiring story has been featured by Leadership Journal. Wells has been featured on CitySites Urban Media, Asbury Seminary's annual Kingdom Conference, Peoria's Southside Mission Annual Dinner, as a workshop leader for the LCMS National Youth Gathering in New Orleans, '10, and has served as a regular workshop leader for most of the Ethnic America Network's Ethnic Workers' Summits since 2003, and many other media outlets. He is experienced and comfortable with radio, interviews, and video productions. In 2010, he was chosen to be one of the 500 North American delegates to the Lausanne III event in Cape Town, South Africa.

Pastor Roland J. Wells, Jr. serves as the Senior Pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in downtown Minneapolis. He is the creator of MissionShift, the Executive Director of the Urban Cross-Cultural College Consortium and the Executive Producer of the MissionShift DVD Series for congregations, non-profits and educational institutions.
